Please join us in extending our heartfelt thanks and warmest best wishes to our excellent choir director Ali Sharpe who will be retiring from her post at the end of March.
Ali has led both the Bournemouth and Poole choirs for six years and has been a constant source of fun, enthusiasm and empathy. Her expertise as a both vocalist and a teacher have been instrumental in making the choirs what they are today. She has helped shape our direction, and her energy will remain a part of the choir for years to come.
Over the years, Ali has often pushed the choirs to explore new adventures, such as the Parry festival in 2018 or being the supporting Choir for Blake at Christchurch theatre. She was also instrumental in helping Rising Voices to win a fifty thousand pound grant from and being featured on the ITV People's Project.
Stepping into Ali's role as Choir director will be Wendy Morrow.
We would like to wish Ali the very best for her retirement and thank her once more for everything she has done for Rising Voices.
